It"s passion for spearfishing that gathers this community. This passion may arise in different forms, such as the frequent desire to be underwater, the challenge to get the fish, the dangers of an environment that man wasn"t made to live in, and so on.
Passion is the pillar that gets more than one million people spearfishing worldwide. Given this large pool of practitioners, it becomes essential to promote ethics in spearfishing. | Ethics
We understand as ethical spearfishing:
- a practice that respects and safeguards the marine ecosystem, without putting in jeopardy species in a given area, and
- a moral practice, i.e. one that does not take more fish than it should to address personal needs |  |
